There is no shortage of activities in Knysna and the surrounding area. So, when you are tired of lazing at the pool in Herons garden, chat to us about some of the many things you can do, From shopping and eating at one of the fabulous coffee shops or restaurants, to a township tour, a tour of our local Mitchell’s Brewer or a visit to the Elephant Park, Knysna has it all.

Local activities

Spend time at one of our beautiful local beaches, take a ferry ride across the lagoon, visit an animal sanctuary, go sand boarding or hiking or pack a picnic and head for Jubilee Creek. For the more adventurous, get the adrenalin flowing with a trip through the Heads on Knysna Rib Adventures, or a bungy jump off the Bloukrans Bridge at Tsitsikamma, or join ScooTours for a ride with a difference in the forest.

Day trips

For guests who are spending a lengthy time with us, there are many wonderful places to explore and experience outside of Knysna. Take a day trip to Plettenberg Bay with it’s beautiful beaches, hikes on Robberg Nature Reserve, shops and restaurants. Or spread your wings even further and visit the famous Cango Caves and ride an ostrich in Oudtshoorn.
